KOMODO DRAGON (Varanus Komodoensis)
Stenght through the
ages
Known locally as the Ora, The Komodo Dragon is universally
considered the world’s largest lizard. This endangered species can be found
only in Indonesia’s
picturesque islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores< Gili Motang and Gili Dasami in
the Komodo National Park. The Komodos are fokloric
creatures, and thus well-protected by Indonesia’s government. This
species can grow to a full three meters in length, feeding on animals as big as
goats and buffaloes. Indeed, young Komodo dragons are known to dwell in trees
to avoid voracious adults.
